Terms of Use

Last updated July 12, 2026

These terms cover your use of VSWeather. Using the site means you accept them.

What VSWeather is

VSWeather compares the long term climate of cities using historical weather normals for the years 1991 through 2020. It describes typical conditions over decades. It is not a weather forecast and does not tell you what conditions will be on any particular day.

Use the data as general information

The figures on VSWeather are meant for general interest and high level planning, such as getting a feel for how two places compare. They are derived from climate models and published records and can differ from any single official station. Do not rely on them for decisions where precise accuracy or safety matters without checking an authoritative source such as NOAA or your national weather service. How the numbers are produced, and their known limitations, are described on our Data Sources page.

No warranty

VSWeather and its data are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the site does not infringe the rights of others. We work to keep the data sound and document our methods, but we do not guarantee that every value is free of error.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VSWeather and the people behind it will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its data. Your use of VSWeather is at your own discretion and risk.

Acceptable use

Please use VSWeather in good faith. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, break its security, or place automated load on it that interferes with normal use by others. Reasonable, respectful use is welcome, including citing and linking to our pages.

Intellectual property

The design, layout, written explanations, and presentation of VSWeather belong to VSWeather. The underlying climate data belongs to its providers and is used under their licenses, which are credited on the Data Sources page. You are welcome to cite VSWeather and link to it. Please do not copy the site wholesale or present it as your own.
