Privacy Policy

Last updated July 13, 2026

VSWeather is built to need as little of your information as possible. This page explains what that means in practice.

The short version

  • VSWeather has no accounts and no sign in.
  • We do not ask you for personal information, and we do not sell or share any.
  • The city search runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to us.
  • We set no advertising or tracking cookies.

Information we do not collect

VSWeather is an informational website. There are no user accounts, no contact forms that store what you submit, and no shopping or payment features. Because of that, we do not collect names, email addresses, or similar personal details in the normal course of using the site.

Search stays on your device

When you look up a city, the matching runs against a small data file your browser downloads once. Your keystrokes and selections stay in your browser and are not transmitted to VSWeather or recorded on our side.

Technical information our host processes

VSWeather is served by Vercel, our hosting provider. Like any website host, Vercel automatically processes basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. This is standard server operation and is described in Vercel's privacy documentation. We use it only to run the site reliably and securely.

Analytics

VSWeather uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It counts visits in aggregate and works without cookies: no advertising identifiers, no tracking across other sites, and no profile of you is built or kept. We see totals and trends, not individual visitors. How it works is described in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation. We do not run advertising or profiling trackers.

Links to other sites

VSWeather links to outside sites, including our data sources. Once you follow a link away from VSWeather, this policy no longer applies, and the other site's own practices govern your visit.

Children

VSWeather is a general audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and meaningful changes will be reflected here.
